The Life Guards of Frederick the Great were a regiment of cuirassiers in the cavalry of the Prussian army.
Frederick II personally led his military forces, losing his mount in battle on six occasions, and is admired as one of the greatest military tacticians in history. His most notable battles were those of Hohenfriedberg, Rossbach, and Leuthen.
