Requete Militia Volunteer

"By God, for the Fatherland and the King, our fathers fought. By God, for the Fatherland and the King, we will fight as well". Carlist political sentiment remained deeply rooted in Spain in 1936, its militias were organized in the calls Tercios de Requetés. Formed mainly by humble farmers, they integrated more than 60 000 volunteers. They fought for the National side, with the aim of defending the Catholic religion and opposing Marxism.
