700 b.C. Phygian Chief
The Phygians were a group of Indo-European tribes which were connected with the inhabitants of Thrace, where they left from to cross the Bosphorus in their way to Asia in remote times. The early incursions of this nation are believed to date back to the XIII century b.C., but their main movement took place in the X century b.C. They disappeared as a country in the VI century b.C. , when they were subdued by the barbarian Cimmerians who came from the Caucasian region.
